While the Dracut Scholarship Foundation, Inc. is always seeking new and innovative means of fundraising to ensure the students of Dracut High School have the opportunity to receive assistance with the ever-escalating cost of higher education, what remains is the mainstay of our fundraising effortsis the Annual Telethon.

In 2007, we hosted the 25th Annual Telethon broadcasting live from Dracut High School. The Telethon fueled immense financial growth for the Foundation.  In 1980, 20 scholarships were awarded totaling $8,000.  Just 10 years later, in 1990, 36 scholarships were awarded totaling $50,000 and in 2026, 64 scholarships were awarded totaling $145,000.

The Telethon remains key to the ongoing success of the Dracut Scholarship Foundation, Inc.  The entire Dracut community continues to rally around this event, and we Thank You for your support.

The Dracut Scholarship Foundation, Inc. is comprised of no more than 28 Directors.  No Director or Officer receives compensation of any kind for their service, as the Dracut Scholarship Foundation, Inc. is strictly a volunteer organization. Directors are appointed for a period of three years.

In the case of vacancies for any cause, the Selection Committee will review all applications on file and make a recommendation to the remaining members of the Board of Directors. The Directors shall then elect a Director and/or Officer to fill out the unexpired term.

What We Do....The Dracut Scholarship Foundation, Inc. has three primary fundraising events which include the Annual Dracut Scholarship Foundation, Inc. Craft Fair, the $10,000 Cash Give-Away Raffle, and the Annual Telethon.  In addition to these fundraising events, a key aspect of the Foundation's success is Memorials.
